St Paul Hardwood Floor Sanding and Refinishing

These floors just got sanded and refinished. The oil polyurethane is still wet. Doesn’t it look nice though? Most of the houses built in Minneapolis have hardwood floors. Any house built between 1900-1960 usually has hardwood floors. Once carpet became popular in the 1970s a lot of builders started using carpet and stopped putting hardwood in the new homes. But in the 1990s hardwood floors became popular again. Since then most new homes are build using 2.25 inch oak or maple hardwood floors. A lot of homes even have hardwood in the kitchen, dining, hallway, entry and the main level bathroom. These lay outs are a little bit harder to sand and refinish because of the weird angles. When you are sanding these homes most are in the suburbs. Personally, I like the 1.5 story ramblers and two story homes that are easy squares. We do a lot of floors every year and they take a toll on your body. It is really important to stay in good shape.
