Removing Paint on Oak Hardwood Floors Minneapolis MN
By Arne Johansson on Nov 14, 2009 in Oak Floors
Removing paint on hardwood floors can be very difficult. The best way to do it is to refinish them. As you can see these floors had many layers of black paint on them. I was not sure how well we were going to be able to refinish them, but they turned out nice in the end. Most of the 1920s two story houses in South Minneapolis close to Lake Calhoun have maple floors, but this one had oak hardwoods. It is not uncommon for a older house like this to have oak on the first level and then maple on the second.
