Old Before Refinish St Louis Park

This was a duplex we sanded in St Louis Park.  It is 1.5 red oak.  This is a very common wood, it is probably the most common in the Minneapolis/Metro area.  The floors were in average condition for the year of the house. It was build in 1950.

After Refinish

There is the after picture.  Look at all the grains.  Looking at the grain patterns in the wood will help you determine what type of wood you have in your house.  If it has a lot of different colors and patterns, then there is a good chance that it is oak.  If it doesn’t have many, then it is probably maple.

Wood Damage in St Louis Park Duplex

If you can see the gain areas right by the door, then your looking at bare wood that has been damaged from excessive wear and tear.  This happens all the time in door ways.  Water and dirt cover the floor and the finish just breaks down.

After Refinish and removal of Damage

We pretty much cleaned this floor up.  If the damage is not that deep, then we can sand it out.  We made this floor look a lot nicer.  My customer was happy and hopefully we will be back for the other side of the duplex in the future
