Oak Floor Before Sanding and Coating
These are 1.5 in red oak floors before they got sanded and coated. I am say these are in below average condition for the year of the house. It was built in 1920. The oak in this picture is a little darker then most floors around Minneapolis. When you see a lot of brown tones and darker colors then the oak is probably a lower grade or possibly a white oak. I know it is counter intuitive to think white oak is a dark wood, but that is how it is. White oak is actually a little darker the a select grade oak after it is sanded and coated with a oil base finish.

After Sanded and Coated Oak Floors
As you can see the floors cleaned up very well. There were a couple spots that had urine stains, but we were able to eliminate them for the most part. I really like refinishing oak floors in Minneapolis. It is close to my house and oak is a easier wood to sand then maple or fur. Thanks a lot for your business.
