Oak Hardwood Floors in St Louis Park

We sanded these floors at the beginning of the week in St Louis Park.  It was a three bedroom rambler with a living room and a little hallway.  The floors had a old finish on it that was just worn down.  There really wasn’t any water or urine stains on the floor.  But when we got done the floors looked amazing.  See all the grains in the wood?  If you see all those grains and your house was built in the 1950s-1960s, then you have oak floors.  Pretty much everything around here has oak in that era.  We did another house like this in Richfield later in the week, then we did a few maple floors on some older houses.  One thing I hate about maple and old houses is that a lot of the times the floor is un level and there are huge gaps in the wood.  We will sand them down, buff and vacuum, and there will still be crap coming out of the floor.  Then you got to coat it and vacuum it again before you put the second coat down so you don’t have a lot of stuff in the finish.  Before your final coat make sure you buff out the floors good and get any little thing off the floor.  That is how you get a good finish.  We do hardwood floor refinishing in St Louis Park so call me today!
