This is a bad stain job. Look closely between the door way. Do you see how light the floor looks there? The lightness looks about 5-6 boards wide. That is from a sanding machine. Staining a floor is very difficult.

The great thing about oak floors is they are beautiful!!! Look at these. This house was built in the 1950s. The oak just needed a good sand and refinish. A now they are like a work of art.
